Calendar can't display events older than 2 months

Syncing of events is handle by Android itself, there isn't much we can do to influence it. But you can try installing the latest version of Google Calendar (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.calendar&hl=en) and see if it helps.
